Vulnerability Index of Disinformation in Kosovo

Disinformation is a major threat for Kosovo’s democracy and national security. Foreign malign influence, lack of media literacy, and polarization of political events and elections weaken citizens’ access to information, undermining their ability to make informed decisions.

The scale

On a 1-100 scale (where 1 = most resilient and 100 = most vulnerable), it reveals each country’s resilience level in the analyzed dimensions and identifies gaps and soft spots.

Vulnerability Index of Disinformation is based on 10 overarching data sources:
Opinion Polls
Representative opinion national and regional polls were conducted in the Republic of Kosovo in 2019, 2020, and 2021 by the National Democratic Institute (NDI). A number of questions from the NDI surveys were used for the Index.
